An heirloom of incomparable magnificence, this grand Oddiyanam is built around a large central teardrop-shield cartouche bordered with brilliant CZ stones, within which an intricate divine scene — a Goddess or divine couple amid celestial flowers and scrollwork — is carved in extraordinary high relief in matte antique gold, creating the effect of a miniature temple sculpture at the waist. Flanking the central cartouche are elaborate panels bearing peacock motifs, Vedic floral vines, and smaller circular medallion panels each containing fine-relief deity figures, all unified by Kundan-style polished CZ stone accents. The lower edge is graced with a gently swaying fringe of green carved emerald beads and white pearl drops, and the overall effect of the piece — with its interplay of matte gold relief and sparkling CZ — is that of a royal proclamation in jewellery form.
