1. INTRODUCTION

Vedic Silver Artefacts LLP ('Company', 'We', 'Us') is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy is drafted in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ('DPDP Act'), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and applicable provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

2.1  Personal Data Provided by You

  • Identity data: Full name, date of birth, gender

  • Contact data: Mobile number, email address, delivery address(es)

  • KYC / Identity documents: PAN, Aadhaar (last 4 digits only), Passport, Voter ID

  • Financial data: Payment instrument type; billing address (card or net banking details are NOT stored bythe Firm)

  • Transaction data: Order history, purchase value, Product preferences

  • Communications: Customer support interactions, reviews, complaints

2.2  Automatically Collected Data

  • Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers

  • Usage data: Pages visited, clicks, search queries, session duration

  • Location data: City/region-level location derived from IP address

  • Cookie data: As described in the Cookie Policy (Part III)

  • Payment Aggregators / Gateways (RBI-authorised) — for payment processing

  • GST filing platforms and auditors — for tax compliance

  • BIS/hallmarking authorities — where legally required

  • Law enforcement agencies, courts, and regulatory authorities — as required by law

  • Fraud prevention services — for detection and prevention of fraudulent transactions

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

 

5. DATA RETENTION

  • KYC and transaction records: Minimum 5 years (PMLA Rule 10) and 8 years (Income Tax Act)

  • GST records: 6 years from the due date of return

  • Account data: Duration of account + 3 years after deletion

  • Marketing consent records: Until withdrawal of consent + 3 years

 

6. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER DPDP ACT, 2023

  • Right of access — to know what personal data we process

  • Right of correction — to correct inaccurate personal data

  • Right of erasure — to request deletion of personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)

  • Right to grievance redressal — to raise complaints with our Data Protection Officer

  • Right to nominate — to nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of incapacity or death

 

7. DATA SECURITY

The Firm implements security practices as prescribed under the IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011, including: SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit; access controls and role-based permissions; regular security audits; and incident response protocols. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, you shall be notified as required under applicable law.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Platform is not directed at individuals below 18 years of age. the Firm does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that personal data of a minor has been collected, it shall be deleted promptly.

  • Persistent cookies: Retained for a period of 30 days to 2 years depending on cookie type

  • Marketing cookies: Retained for up to 90 days
